Soul Surfer Actress Set To Play Young Carrie Bradshaw In New Series
In case you didn’t know (because I sure didn’t!) the CW is planning to launch a new series entitled The Carrie Diaries. The show will serve as a prequel to HBO’s hit series, which I love, Sex and the City.
The series is based on the novel by Candace Bushnell, and revolves around a young Carrie Bradshaw as she comes of age in the 1980s, asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan.
AnnaSophia Robb, who may be known for her roles as Leslie Burke in one of my favorites Bridge to Terabithia as well as last year’s film Soul Surfer, which is about the life of surfer Bethany Hamilton, has been picked for the role. The show will be executive produced by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein alongside Warner Bros. Television.
Though I like AnnaSophia, I don’t see her as a young Carrie Bradshaw. She’s more of a young Samantha if you ask me. I’m not really looking forward to this show, but I will give it a try, how about you? SOURCE!!!
